My Pretty Rose Tree

A flower was offered to me:
Such a flower as May never bore.
But I said "I've a Pretty Rose-tree",
And I passed the sweet flower o'er.

Then I went to my Pretty Rose-tree:
To tend her by day and by night.
But my Rose turn'd away with jealousy:
And her thorns were my only delight. !

Take Me To A Dream

Take me to a dream
That I never dreamed of,
To a place so beautiful
That we can stay for eternity,
A dream that seems to be
More real than real life
A dream of no problems or worries.

Take me to a dream
A place for just the two of us,
Where we can express our inner
most thoughts, feelings, and emotions,
To a beautiful land where nobody
Is there but just the two of us.

Take me to a dream
A dream where I can have fun,
Where I am not being fused or abused at
Controlled or being yelled at,
To a beautiful place that I can lay at
In peace where I can think at,
Where I will have no worries
and do nothing but dream.

My Gift To You

I live through my dark existence
only to bask in your beauty
your eyes that shine like sapphires
your smile that brightens even my sad existence
I envy the wind that runs through your hair
that touches your lips
I long to touch you
to hold you in my arms but I cannot
for your heart belongs to another
so, I can only love you from afar
your friendship means more to me
than anything this world provides
but like an angel you touched my heart
in a way that I've never felt before
cause I've never known what love is until this day
I know that we are only friends
but my heart wishes it to be more
so I will still hope and dream
that one day I can feel your lips pressed to mine
to hold you in my arms and say, "I love you"

Deceiving Me

When I said I loved you,
It was a lie.
Lust is what
I felt inside.
I'm still wondering
what love is,
This couldn't have been it,
it wasn't all bliss.
We definitely wouldn't
be good together;
The two of us mixing
was like bad weather.
You were snow,
and I was the sun.
The task of staying together
could never be done.
If I say this over and over,
maybe I'll believe.
I'll get out of this okay,
if I can deceive me.

Think of Me

It's been a long time, and we still speak
Just the thought of being with you makes me weak
Memories of us flood my mind from day to day,
As I daydream about you entering my life with a plan to stay
I long for your soft kisses and the laughter you bring,
I wonder if you ever miss me, the way I miss your everything
Do the sporadic nights we share together leave you with a feeling of completeness?
I want to know how you feel, 'cause you're my only weakness
Your irresistibility stays locked up inside my heart,
I want you to be with me even when we are apart
I wish you would hold me close and whisper in my ear,
Tell me all of the sweet things that I've been waiting so long to hear
And as each day comes to an end and I still can't claim you as mine,
I pray that the next will deliver enchanting thoughts of me into your mind.
